In November 2023, coinciding with Veterans Day, Petoskey Plastics and Paul Keiswetter, Chairman-CEO, were honored to receive the 2023 Veteran Business of the Year award from the National Veteran Business Development Council (NVBDC).
Each year, the NVBDC presents the award to a veteran-owned business that has exceeded industry standards and has had significant growth through the additional creation of jobs while showing its commitment to social responsibility and exemplifying strong community involvement while also achieving overall impressive business performance.
Their website states, “The National Veteran Business Development Council is the original Veteran Owned Business Certification organization developed by Veterans, for Veterans. The purpose is to provide a credible and reliable certifying authority for all size businesses ensuring that valid documentation exists of a Veterans status, ownership and operational control.”
Paul Keiswetter served in the United States Marine Corps before founding Petoskey Plastics with Duke Keiswetter in 1969. His service allows Petoskey Plastics to be a SBA Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business.
Along with the award, Petoskey Plastics was listed as the 6th largest Michigan Veteran-Owned Business based on revenue by Crain’s Detroit Business.
As a growing company, we are always looking to add veterans to our team. Job seekers can view open positions for Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, and Texas on our website’s careers page.
