Petoskey, MI: After several years of succession planning, Jason Keiswetter was named President of Petoskey Plastics.  Jason previously held the position of Executive Vice President.

The President has general supervision direction and control of the business and affairs of the company on a day-to-day basis.  Jason succeeds Paul Keiswetter as President.  Paul will continue with the company as Chairman and CEO, focusing on strategic and financial planning.

While addressing associates during their annual meeting in December, Paul stated, “This appointment was made in the spirit of our company: sustainability and continuing success.”

“This is an extremely special moment for me.  It is an honor and a privilege to be named President of Petoskey Plastics as it has been a life-long goal that I have worked so hard to achieve,” Jason stated.  “I look forward to continuing to work with many associates that I have grown up with and fortunate to have Paul and the Board of Directors for continued support and direction.   I am thrilled about our new structure, our team, and our opportunities for continued success.”

Jason started working for the company part-time in 1986 and became a full-time associate in 1999.  His dedicated and consistent performance and compassion for the associates have continuously earned him new and additional responsibilities over the last 20 years.  Jason grew up in Petoskey and holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Marketing from Western Michigan University and master’s degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University.

Paul went on to say, “As both co-founder of our family company and a father, I am pleased and proud to promote my son Jason to President of Petoskey Plastics, a position I have held for 50 years.  I am confident Jason will continue our family culture and promote our mission statement, “To earn the appreciation and respect of our customers, associates, and communities.’”
